August 5, 2010 - What’s the Best Time to Workout?
Are you a morning person? Do you spring out of bed, greet the day, and head out for a run? Maybe you’re more of a night owl, waiting until after work or dinner to hit the gym. So, what is the best time of day to get in a workout? Unfortunately, there isn’t a clear-cut answer to that question. Both morning and evening workouts have their pros and cons.
For instance, working out first thing in the morning gets it off your daily to-do list early and will give you energy for the rest of the day. You can also wind down after your AM workout with an awesome Post Workout Slam Smoothie (with the amazing recovery power of BiPro!). However, you’ll want to stretch before getting started – your whole body was just dormant for several hours, so you’re bound to be stiff. Loosen up before getting underway.

As for the afternoon and evening hours, some prefer to hold off on their workout until after work and then let loose! Exercising helps them to release tension and stress from the day. You’ll be more alert and more awake, and less likely to injure yourself. Evening lends itself well to a sweet treat; maybe try a Frozen Fruit Twist (with BiPro!) as a nice dessert to end the night and help your muscles rebuild for tomorrow.
Now, if you like to take your workout outside, remember that temperatures are the coolest at dawn and dusk making it a more comfortable time of day than the middle of the afternoon.
Regardless of when you work out, the most important thing is to be consistent. BiPro will certainly stay by your side, morning, noon, or night!
