June 10, 2010- BiPro: What Does NSF Sport Certification Mean? “The Only Whey to Stay Drug Free”

Since BiPro was NSF Sport Certified™ in January, I have received a lot of emails and questions regarding what this means for BiPro and why we became certified.
Many professional athletes use whey protein for muscle repair and growth. Whatever supplement they consume, they have to be sure it is free of banned substances. BiProUSA was evaluated by NSF International to verify that the information appearing on the BiPro label matches the content of the product and that no banned substances are present. Requirements of the program include:
• Formulation and label review
• Toxicology review
• Facility Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspection, and
• Laboratory analysis for label contents, undeclared ingredients and contaminants.
So what does this mean for BiPro? Our customers now include professional athletes which is very exciting for us!! Who are some of them? Mainly MLB teams: Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, San Francisco Giants, Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres, Oakland Athletics, and Milwaukee Brewers to name a few!
So what does this mean for YOU? To the common consumer, you may not even realize that there may be banned substances in supplements you take. Since we have received NSF Sport Certification, BiPro is a supplement you can feel good about adding to your diet.
